1. I have done research projects in this class that include our labyrinth project, and a project on the Assyrians. Last year, I've done projects in Social Studies about national parks (geography) and about Mesopotamia (Hammurabi). I also did one about Paris.
2. A research for me is when you gather several information from several types of sources on a specific subject, and then write a paper about what you have found.
3. My failures in research are mainly when presenting it and making a power ponit on my own. But I am really good with written work and making creative posters. Teacher Response March 15

1. I think the webbing process helped/did not help me find a topic because:
1. I think it helped a lot, because by trying to find 3 topics, I could make sure which one I would like to work on, and by choosing 3 more subtopics, I could make sure that it was a good subject to be researched.

2. Why you chose it: I chose it because I believe it's a very interesting subject and I would like to research it further more.
3. What you already know about your topic: I know it was a long war between the English and the French for the control of France. There were many battles, and most of them were won by the English. The English and the French had very different fighting styles and strategies. The French king was tricked in disinheriting his on son during a state of madness. 1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
I though it was easier to come up with skinny questions than fat questions, but after writing down a few skinny questions, you realize that you came up with a fat question. That's what happenned to me. I just had to modify it a little to cover all of my skinny questions. Inspiration helped me decide on my topic and this way I could make sure that the topic was good enough to make a research paper on it. Overall, this helped me a lot. Teacher Response March 20

1. I learned, first of all an easier and better way to take notes instead of using net snippets. I learned more about my topic by doing so. For example, I learned that the Hundred Years' war didn't actually last for a hundred years. And I learned more about the countries, and people involved in the war.
2. I didn't really have any problems today, and I think that the new note taking method is easier to work with.
